JADE &
SATYEN

Join us as we celebrate our marriage...

As we step into this next chapter together, we’re reminded of how grateful we are to share this moment with the people who have shaped us. Your presence in our lives reminds us that love is not just between two people—it radiates outward into a whole community.

... In the heart of southern France...

After Satyen lived in France as a child, we returned just the two of us to make new memories, and ended up staying for over 3 months. As we return once more, this time surrounded by loved ones, marrying there feels like a natural homecoming.

... At a Provençal château filled with rich history.

Our wedding will take place at Château Martinay, an 18th-century neoclassical château nestled in the sun-drenched hills of Provence. As you enter the estate, listen to the babbling stone fountain, walk among centuries-old trees shading romantic pathways, and watch the sun set over 35 hectares of lavender-scented gardens and grounds. Together, we will write our story in the annals of this historic setting.

Attire

Come as you are, in what makes you feel your best. We hope that the below guide can preemptively answer attire-related questions.

All events are outdoors on gravel (or grass, for the pool party) so heels with enough support are recommended throughout the weekend— think block heels, platforms, or wedges. Open dancing will take place indoors.

Formal

Suits or suiting separates for men, tie optional.
Elegant floor-length or ankle-length dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy separates for women.

Event: Intimate Ceremony

Resort Chic

Think elegant sundresses, linen sets, breezy separates, or light cottons. Sandals, flip flops, or wedges welcome as we'll be on grass. Swimwear and sunglasses encouraged!

Event: Pool Party

Indian Formal

Indian attire in vibrant colors is encouraged. Think saris, lehengas, or kurta sets with bandis! Festive Western formal is also acceptable.

Event: Sangeet

New to Indian attire?

Purchase or rent Indian formalwear at the websites below. If opting for a sari please buy pre-pleated; when in doubt, lehengas tend to be easier for first timers. Get something you can dance in!

Black Tie

Dress to the nines in floor-length gowns and tuxedos. The more creativity the better— think unconventional colors, prints, and textures, or statement accessories (e.g. a fun tie style or color on a standard tuxedo). Have fun with it!

Event: Wedding Day

For women, we kindly ask that you avoid white Western attire and red Indian attire, as these are reserved for the bride.

Things to Note

Should I expect a formal invitation?

Yes, a formal invitation will be sent in early 2027.

Can I bring a date?

Given venue limitations, we can only welcome those who are listed on your invitation. If in doubt, feel free to reach out to Jade or Satyen.

Are children welcome?

While we adore the little ones in our lives, we have chosen to host an adults-only celebration. Thank you for your understanding.

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

When submitting your RSVP, please fill out your dietary restrictions with as much details as needed.

Is there a dress code?

Yes! See the attire section above for details. Note that the wedding will be mostly outdoors with lawn/gravel so stilettos are not recommended.

What will the weather be like?

As late summer begins to edge into early autumn, the temperatures drop a little bit.

You can expect an average range of 59-75°F (15-24°C), making it one of the more pleasant times of year to visit. You’ll be comfortable in lightweight summer clothing and a sweater for after dark.

Will transport be provided?

Yes, shuttles will be provided to/from the venue. Details to follow.

I would like to give a gift. Do you have a registry?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. While gifts are not necessary, we have started a honeymoon fund to help ring in this next chapter of our lives. This is entirely optional and greatly appreciated.
